Garret O'Connell writes to me about a survey he's helping to conduct:
I am part of a neuroscience research group called SINAPSE. We are currently hosting a series of talks talking about the potential impact of brain imaging on society, such as its increasing use in the courts, as a lie-detector or in marketing research (http://www.instituteforadvancedstudies.org.uk/Programmes/Currentpro...).
To guide new policies and regulations over the use of brain imaging, we are seeking people to express their opinions and concerns about these issues in a short survey. The survey is for both legal professionals and neuroscientists:

. . . The results of the debate/survey will be presented to Scottish Parliament and could help shape future policy change on the use of brain imaging and data protection.
