Hello Neuroethics & Law Blog readers. Professor Kolber has invited me to guest blog, and I thought I'd start by introducing myself. I am a PhD candidate in the University of Chicago's History of Culture program. Before coming to Chicago, I attended the University of Georgia School of Law and Georgia Tech. My dissertation examines the mutually constitutive relationships between law, popular culture, and the human sciences in nineteenth-century America. In chapters on evidence law, Spiritualism, photography, and forensic psychology, it explores the ways that these fields shaped modern notions of credibility and authority. I am also interested in the implications of recent behavioral research for tort and intellectual property law and in the history of imaging technologies in the courtroom. And, although it has no (obvious) connection to neurolaw, I also write about food, law, and culture.
Pleased to have you with us!
